As high level staff members, the Managers have considerable responsibility to ensure that the Firm operates in an efficient and profitable manner to produce a quality product at a competitive price. All Managers will have both specific client responsibility and general Firm responsibility. They will have a responsibility to supervise and train other professional staff.
General Description
A Manager will have the responsibility to:
Serve as an Accountant in Charge (AIC)
Develop and maintain client relationships
Support other Firm members with advanced advice and research
Supervise and train Staff and Senior Accountants
Conduct the Technical Review of other staff member’s work
Develop and expand the Firm’s client base
Participate in the local and professional community
Participate in the recruiting of new staff members
Generally support the operation of the Firm
Skills Needed
A strong working knowledge of the tax code
Ability to conduct complex tax research
A strong working knowledge of the professional accounting pronouncements
Extensive experience in conducting and supervising Compilations and Reviews
Ability to conduct complex accounting research
Ability to analyze and solve complex issues utilizing creative thinking
Ability to communicate complex issues in a straightforward manner
Strong client skills
Good time management skills including the ability to plan large projects
Ability to delegate
Strong supervisory skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to resolve conflict
A strong working knowledge of the professional accounting pronouncements
Extensive experience in conducting and supervising Compilations and Reviews
Ability to conduct complex accounting research
Specific Qualifactions
A CPA or EA certification
At least 7 years experience, 10 years preferred
