Senior Accountant
Senior Accountants support the Firm in a variety of capacities ranging from preparation work to serving as an Accountant in Charge (AIC). A Senior Accountant will have considerable client contact, as directed by the Principal in Charge.
General Description
A Senior Accountant will have the responsibility to:
Serve as an Accountant in Charge
Support other Firm members with advice and research
Help plan and budget jobs
Supervise and train Staff Accountants
Assist in the review of the work produced by Staff Accountants
Independently prepare tax returns and financial statements
Participate in the local and professional community
Generally support the operation of the Firm
Skills Needed
A good working knowledge of the tax code
A good working knowledge of the professional accounting pronouncements
Strong accounting skills
Ability to conduct tax research
Ability to conduct accounting research
Ability to communicate issues in a straightforward manner
Good client skills
Good time management skills including the ability to assist in the planning of large projects
Good supervisory skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to resolve conflict
Specific Qualifations
CPA or EA certification
At least 3 years experience, 5 years preferred
